Built in the early 1970s
Built in the early 1970s to provide textile products throughout the Soviet Union. Consequently, the business was established with both knitting and dyeing & finishing facilities. Lauma Fabrics produces a wide selection of fabrics and materials, the majority of which are used in intimate apparel garments.

The company made an investment of €6.4 million
The company made an investment of €6.4 million in 2014-2015 and 2019 in dye house modernization in Latvia, which enables beam and jet dyeing; includes water scouring machine and stenters.
2014 — 2015
A new stenter's acquired for Lauma Fabrics
The acquisition allowed the company to improve the quality of its produced fabrics and to be able to offer new solutions of materials to its customers. The cost of the acquisition was EUR 1.2 million and the new stenter delivered in spring 2019.

Lauma Fabrics companies and suppliers comply with internationally recognized production standards of Oeko-Tex, REACH and ISO. Our products must be free of over 100 harmful substances to human health and must be manufactured in environmentally friendly facilities.
Ecodye
Lauma Labrics has also made considerable investments into its dye-house modernisation at Lauma Fabrics plant, installing 14 new dyeing machines and using ECODYE for dyeing processes, which is considered to be ecologically the best PES dyeing process.
Energy efficiency
Lauma Fabrics acquires electricity by a local supplier Latvenergo, which is one of the most environmentally friendly electricity producers in EU. In 2018, 47% of its electricity output were generated from renewable energy sources, mostly water. The company plans to install thousands of solar panels to shift all production to renewable energy and reduce energy costs.
